Beck Mason is Vice President of R&D for Transmission Products within the Optical Communications business at JDSU. He has worked in the optical communications industry for more than 15 years. He started his career at Lucent Technologies Bell Laboratories doing research on advanced optoelectronic devices and subsequently held management positions in R&D at Agere Systems and Finisar before joining JDSU in 2007. Beck holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara, a Masters in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Bachelors in Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
