Dr. Casimer DeCusatis (@Dr_Casimer) is an IBM Distinguished Engineer in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. He develops data center network solutions, including extended distance optical networks, SDN, and NFV. He is an IBM Master Inventor with over 120 patents, and recipient of several awards including IEEE Kiyo Tomiyasu Award and Sigma Xi Walston Chubb Award. He received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and the B.S. degree magna cum laude in the Engineering Science Honors Program from the Pennsylvania State University.
