The Ethernet Alliance partnered with industry leading member companies at Interop 2011 to showcase the continued evolution of 10Gb Ethernet as the networking industry’s standard of choice. The Ethernet Alliance Booth (#2358) featured a live demonstration of some of the latest products developed for use in next generation data centers.

The live network demonstration highlighted benchmarks showing the lowest latency and highest performance enabled by 10Gb Ethernet for both TCP and UDP applications, and will support technologies such as iWARP, ToE, UDP UM and UDP QP. Additionally, the Ethernet Alliance showcased a number of static demonstrations featuring equipment and products that are part of the Ethernet family of products being deployed into data centers and high performance applications.

Chris Calandro (Chelsio), Technical Lead:
“As technical lead for the Ethernet Alliance’s INTEROP 2011 demo, I was pleased the Ethernet Alliance successfully demonstrated 2011 as the year Ethernet can now be the only protocol to suit all your needs in the datacenter from analytics, clustering , networking, & storage.  The trouble of working with and having to have knowledge of esoteric, disparate, & marginal technologies is now behind us. My thanks to the EA’s member companies showcasing the many choices one can choose from and interoperate seamlessly with one another when choosing Ethernet as your protocol of choice: Chelsio, Cisco Systems, IXIA, JDSU, NetApp, Panduit, Siemon, & Volex.”
