Will Bliss is a Senior Technical Director in the Office of the CTO at Broadcom Corp. He has worked on applied communication and coding theory in silicon PHYs for thirty-eight years, initially in magnetic recording, and recently in 10GBASE-T and 802.3bj 100GBASE-KP4 Ethernet. Will earned a PH.D. from the University of Colorado at Boulder, an M.S.E.E. from the University of Minnesota, and a B.S.E.E. from South Dakota State University. He has labored for S.T. Microelectronics, Siemens Microelectronics, Cirrus Logic Corp., Texas A&M University, and IBM. Will currently holds over sixty U.S. patents.
